LORD GOD, I ask and pray on this Good Friday, that the fools of the world turn into God-fearers, multitudes of Your enemies become Your heirs, and scoffers and doubters be made into Your sons and daughters.

Intimacy hasn’t a chance in relationships these days as it has to be exclusive to exist – something private that only “we” share – yet with cell phones and social media everything is put out and publicized so there is never “just between us” anymore as people are never actually present in the moment, but more invested, involved, and interested in everyone everywhere else.

Isn’t it ironic how the allure of the apple activated the initial demise of the first people, Adam and Eve, and now today it is still the appeal of the Apple, held in every human hand, that is duplicating our own demise as we are attached, addicted, and married to, obsessed and in love with, and possessed by these devices, offering them endless hours of our attention and affection, our time and touch, and 99% of us have no self-control nor discipline to put them down or turn them off.

It’s about “The Family Business”, not “The Monkey Business” – Religious folks just don’t get it as they run “The Monkey Business” of figuring out how little they can do with GOD, how much they can get from GOD, and what they are able to get away with around GOD. Relationship folks know GOD personally and are deeply invested in “The Family Business” as they want to serve their Father, stand with their Brother, Jesus, and share in the work with their Helper, the Holy Spirit, in order that they do nothing to discredit, defraud, or defame the reputation of The Family name.

We are full-to-the-gills with FREE-LOADERS, PARASITES, and SLACKERS – those who believe they are entitled to consume all the blessings and benefits off the labor of others, yet need not contribute anything themselves to their families or society.
