Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?  Amos 3:3

Can a nation live and remain “united” when it’s people invent, endorse, and enforce vastly differing views regarding the most fundamental principles of humanity, and in what constitutes basic human rights?

The term “United States of America” has become an oxymoron as our nation is anything but “united.” It’s pretty ugly how far we are divided, and our differences go deep. Plus, it is no open secret to the rest of the world that we are between the proverbial rock and a hard place – as both our heads and hearts are stiff, sick, and silly. Our issues are not alone together and much more than:  Democrat vs. Republican; Rich vs. Poor; White vs. Black; Gay vs. Straight; Christian vs. Muslim; Christian vs. Atheist; Union vs. Non-union; White-collar vs. Blue-collar; Educated vs. Non-educated; Gun-owner vs. Non-gun-owner; Citizen vs. Immigrant

The primary problem is there is no more normality – or perhaps a better way of phrasing this is to say there is no more abnormality.

We are clearly confused, and in an age where the norms for human life and relationships are being distorted on a daily basis. What was once considered regular, usual, and typical has become a constant variable always up for debate. Thus, we have no definition nor determination for what is good and true and right, since everyone is now entitled to decipher and display these for his/her self; and if anyone argues or disagrees, the matter is taken to court and left up to the judges to decide – which is based upon the judge’s own unbiased opinion of course, not a benchmark of truth, a standard set of rules, or a uniform code of justice.

Our “United” States are becoming more and more the “Divided” States each and every day, and even odds are this will bring ever-increasing conflict, chaos, and crisis.

Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?  Amos 3:3

Can a nation redefine marriage, reinterpret gender, and reject its Creator without facing a minor crisis? Our only choice is to agree on the direction we will go – hopefully we will choose wisely.
